In an announcement made today, the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) will be increased from $53,9000 to $70,000 from 01 July 2023.

This will be the first increase since the TSMIT level of $53900 was set in 2013.

This announcement has also indicated that the Albanese Government will be announcing by the end of 2023 that Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) short-term visa holders will have a pathway to permanent residency. This will be welcome news to many.
