As part of the announcement in November 2018 where major changes were being implemented under the Working Holiday Maker (WHM) visa program to support regional and rural communities, eligible working holiday visa holders can apply for a third year 417 or 462 visa. This legislation will commence on 01 July 2019 and previous, a working holiday visa holder was allowed a maximum of a two year visa.
Applicants are required to complete 6 months specificied work in special circumstancs in order to be eligible for a third ‘working holiday maker’ visa. Applicants for the third WHV must also have undertaken 6 months specified work while holding a second WHV and that this work was carried out on or after 1 July 2019.
